Hi there,
I'm building a 1/64 lowrider car that can drive, steer, lift the rear and hop the front and in order to get it to work I need to make 2 more channels.
I have a LXX superpefection PCB with the F1 and F2 features. I already did one and it works fine but this one doesn't want to work for a reason unknown.
I use the IRLM2502TR Mosfet hooked it up like this:
Gate to F1
Source to ground
Drain to a small motor and the other motor ouput to ground.
My multimeter does measure 2,9V on the F1 pin but when I measure the Drain on the mosfet it doesn't give me any results.
I tried 4 (IRLM2502) mosfets just to make sure but they all don't seem to work.
Question: Does anyone know how see if a mosfet is kaput using a multimeter?

Wow - the great lowriding Jevries !
Welcome back in our forum. What a great honor to have you here.
I have seen your Radioshack Lowriders and I'm working on a "copy" of your BeSwitched.
Nice project you're working on right now.
I'm sorry that I can't help you with your electronic problem but I think there are some specialists here that can help.
Keep on modding and we would like to see the finished project.

Aaahhh...stupid me! Thing is I used a small tutorial with pics...and in the pics it says to connect the other motor lead to ground...ofcourse now it works connecting it to +...Mosfet is just a little switch I should have know that.
I will put a 50C euro next to it when the car is finished. It's the same size as a Hot Wheels car 8cm in length.
Thanks man! I'm certainly gonna over here more often since it tought me quite some things. I hope to finish this car next week have to prep the body, paint and detail it.
Cool that your working on that RS car! Where did you get it from or are we going off topic now...? _________________ www.jevries.com

I hope to have the RS Hopperkit ready soon.
By the way another question:
I hooked up all the features using actuator wire ( the thin copper wire) but I've noticed that the car has difficulty to drive back and forth. Can it be that the wire doesn't give enough power? in other words do I need to use the normal plastic coated wire?
Thanx! _________________ www.jevries.com
