hi micro tankers,
i have a combatdigiQ with rotator function that has a problem,
the rotating speed of the turret is not always the same.
sometimes too slow, on other occasions very fast.
i think it's a "problem" more or less with turmdrehers, only this one does it very bad. it's just like something gets stuck sometimes.
is there a cure for this ? or are the turret gears damaged ?
will it help if i "loosen" the little screw ontop of the turret pcb ?
(underneath the IR receiver).
some other fix ? what is the cause of this problem ?
if you can help me out on this, it will be very much appriciated of course.

Well, the turrets are proportional, as far as i know. But only if you use a new remote-controle (without channel-switch). Some guys here tuned up the ROM in the tanks, so they accelerated the moving of the turrets extremly (beavers AA-Tank needs 1 sec for the whole way, i remember). The how-to you can find here.
Or type in the search-funktion of this forum "Turmdrehgeschwindigkeit", and you will find some other threads.
btw: I had the same problems with my gay Panthers. Try it out in the mechanical way, my recommendation.

great, i will break my brains trying to translate the whole thing.
i'm not that great at the tech stuff either, but it's very interesting.
sorry to ask questions already made by others, but to come up with a term like turmdrehgeschwindigkeit is a little beond my reach.
(sounds really cool btw)
also, i know that there are some visitors here from other countries (hi guys), some pointers in english are welcome i guess. thanks.
since it could be a problem with the ROMchip, is it possible i swiched it with a ROMchip from another same type of tank ?
(oh no, will i have to check all 38 of them ? )
on the old konami site it says you have to keep the romchip with the tank you got it with. so i usually try to do this, but sometimes i get very thirsty for some reason. things get "mixed up" easy then.
[edit] so after sobering up i realize it's a mechanical defect after all.
there is a little washer that keeps the turret from falling off, it was bend out of shape. after replacing it with another it works fine now.
after breaking the last braincells i had trying to comprehend the
technical aspects of the link suggested by dela, i came upon much more interesting treads.
you are right dela, it's very interesting reading indeed !!!
the only sad thing is that development seems to have halted.
i was just about to find out how to rewrite the internal romchip,
and to see what became of the project with the name that i shall not mention. it sort of ended there, ,,,,
(don't tell me i've missed even more threads, i think i checked them all)
i'm in a big depression now, is this the hammer in dela's beer ?
